This picture was taken from my seat at Super Bowl 43 where I got to see my Pittsburgh Steelers win a Super Bowl. It all started at the end of the season when I got a phone call from my brother asking if I want to go to the Super Bowl. I thought he was being funny because my team, the Steelers and his team, the Cardinals were playing each other. I told him I wish, but no way could I ever afford it. He explained that since he was a Cardinals season ticket holder, he had a chance to buy tickets at face value. The game was in Tampa Bay, twenty minutes from our dad’s house, so we could stay with him and use his car to go to the game. Then he said he had enough points on his credit card to pay for my plane ticket too. I told him that sounded great, but I’d have to talk to Julie first and see what she thought. She thought it was a great idea, and our dad would love to see both of use said I should really go – what a woman! So we went to the game and had a great time. Of course I had a better time at the game than he did, but it was an experience of a lifetime for us both! I feel lucky to say I was able to be there to see my team win a Super Bowl. The ironic part – when I first started watching pro football, I chose to be a Steelers fan because at that time my brother was a Cowboy’s fan, and he hated the Steelers – so I knew they were the team for me. Since then he went to Raiders, then Cardinals when he moved out west. I’ve been a diehard Steelers fan ever since. GO STEELERS!!
